Is there an Android version?
Not yet. Recipe.Social is coming to iPhone and iPad first.
How do I save a recipe from a website?
Paste the link. Recipe.Social reads the page’s recipe and keeps the ingredients and steps, leaving the ads and life story behind. It works on recipe pages that publish recipe data, which most big recipe sites do.
Can I save recipes from TikTok or Instagram?
Not from the video itself. Screenshot the recipe in the caption or on screen, then import the photo, and Recipe.Social builds the recipe card.
Can I scan my grandmother’s recipe cards or a cookbook page?
Yes. Take a photo or import a PDF, and AI reads it and builds the recipe. You agree to this once before your first import. Double-check quantities before you cook.
What’s a recipe box?
A collection you name, like “Sunday Dinners” or “Thanksgiving 2026.” Show it on your profile or keep it hidden, and add up to 50 family members and friends so they can see it and add recipes to it.
Who can see my recipes?
You choose. Everyone (the default) shows your recipes to anyone signed in to Recipe.Social, including in the main feed. Followers lets only people you approve see them. Only me keeps them to yourself. Nothing is visible to anyone without an account.
Is there a public feed?
Yes. The main feed shows recipes from accounts set to Everyone. Switch to Followers or Only me to keep yours out of it.
Can I block or report someone?
Yes. Block anyone, and they can’t follow you or comment on, like, or rate your recipes. Report any recipe, comment, or profile; we review reports within 24 hours.
Do you use AI? What happens to my recipes?
Only if you turn it on; each AI feature asks first. Photo and PDF imports are read by Anthropic’s Claude, and missing recipe photos can be generated by Google’s Gemini on Google Cloud. Neither may train its models on your content. We don’t sell data or show ads.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, in the app. It permanently removes your profile, recipes, boxes, comments, and photos.
How is this different from Paprika, Mela, or Pinterest?
Paprika and Mela are personal recipe organizers; Pinterest is a public inspiration feed. Recipe.Social is built for sharing with the people you cook with: shared family recipe boxes, and control over who sees your recipes.
